Bowling Green man charged with burglary at vape shop BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is behind bars on a burglary charge at a local vape shop. According to a uniform citation, Bowling Green police responded around 3:11 a.m. Thursday to a burglary alarm at Smoke Zone at 801 Campbell Lane. Authorities say upon arrival, they could see a front door with broken glass. Police say they cleared the business and did not locate a suspect inside. Authorities say the owner estimated the stolen merchandise to be worth between $1,000 and $10,000. Authorities say after viewing video surveillance, they found a trail of stolen products leading through the parking lot and behind other businesses leading into the woods. Officers say the suspect matched the description of 33-year-old Michael Baker of Bowling Green, a possible suspect in another burglary that occurred at the same shop several months ago. Baker was detained at a residence. Authorities say they located and recovered the stolen merchandise in the room where Baker was located. Baker remains at the Warren County Regional Jail. He faces charges of theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others between $1,000 and $10,000, third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief and first-degree criminal trespassing.
