Budweiser Clydesdales visit Lincoln’s WarHorse Casino to support national nonprofit

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The Budweiser Clydesdales are back in Lincoln, this time making an appearance at the WarHorse Casino in the southwest part of town. The world-renowned Clydesdales are visiting in support of Anheuser-Busch’s partnership with Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization that provides families of fallen or disabled U.S. veterans and first responders with academic scholarships. Marc Deleo, WarHorse Gaming’s vice president of marketing, said between WarHorse, Legacy Downs and Quality Brands, which serves Budweiser products at the casino, a total of $10,000 was donated to the nonprofit on Friday. “Everybody’s always excited to see the Clydesdales and get photos,” Deleo said. “We’re real excited to give back to the local community. That’s what we’re all about, Warhorse and Legacy Downs, is giving back to the community here in Lincoln and in Omaha as well, and to Nebraska.” The Clydesdales are currently traveling across the country for community events in partnership with Folds of Honor. Budweiser is also celebrating an anniversary this year, marking 150 years of the brand. If you’d like to support Folds of Honor, those who are 21 and older can purchase Budweiser drinks from now until November at restaurants and bars. A portion of the proceeds totaling up to $1.5 million will be donated to the nonprofit. The Clydesdales will be heading to Wilber on Saturday for the town’s annual Czech Festival.
