Comitis: They can play in the PSL easily

Cape Town City chairman John Comitis says two of his newest recruits can play in the Betway Premiership with their eyes closed. Comitis is adamant 2026/27 is a season for his club to win the Motsepe Foundation Championship title and return to what he calls their rightful place, which is the elite division. To that end, he has singled out Rai Vloet and Marcelo Suarez as players that will surprise a lot of people this coming season. "They can play in the PSL with their eyes closed. "The one was at PSV Eindhoven as a starting line-up player, and the other one plays for the national team of Bolivia. Two-three months ago, he was playing against Lionel Messi and Argentina. "The Bolivian, Marcelo Suarez, is a left-footed centre-back. The other is Rai Vloet, he is Dutch." The Citizens have also added former Orlando Pirates and Sekhukhune United midfielder Thabang Monare their roster. The side looked on course for a return to the topflight but fell at the play-offs hurdle as Milford FC got promoted instead.
