Holiday alert: Wayanad schools, colleges to remain shut tomorrow

KALPETTA: The district collector has declared a holiday tomorrow for all educational institutions in Wayanad following a heavy rainfall warning issued for the region. The closure applies to all educational institutions, including anganwadis, religious study classes, tuition centres, special classes, and professional colleges. However, the district administration clarified that residential schools and residential colleges are exempt from the order and will continue to function normally. The measure comes as the Meteorological Department placed the district under an orange alert for heavy downpours.
