Jana Nayagan faces heat in Mandya

Tamil Nadu CM Vijay's final film Jana Nayagan is facing heat from all quarters.

Tamil Nadu CM Vijay's final film Jana Nayagan is facing heat from all quarters. Couple of days back, police stopped the screening in Chennai when Multiplexes allowed below 18 aged people to watch the film though the film was awarded A certificate. Now, Jana Nayagan screening was halted in Mandya owing to the protests of Vijaya Sena over Cauvery waters. Protests laid seize at the Gurushree Theatre and the president Deepak after holding discussions with the theatre management expressed his displeasure. The protesters expressed anger over water being released to Tamil Nadu following the CWRC order, which several organisations in Karnataka are opposing. Investigations are currently underway. One of the protesters said, “Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, please tell them (the authorities concerned) that we don’t even have drinking water, nor do we have water for our livestock. People are in a desperate situation. Request them to give us some more time.” The protester added “Please convince them on our behalf. We are placing our trust in you. We request you to intervene personally and ensure that this is resolved,” ---- Pramod Nandivada
