According to ZBC News, Kazembe said Zimbabwe remains governed by the rule of law and urged citizens to address any concerns through constitutional and legal channels rather than unlawful action. His remarks come less than two weeks before the planned protests. Government Says Law Enforcement Ready For July 31 Speaking on the planned demonstrations, Kazembe said law enforcement agencies had made the necessary preparations to maintain peace and public order. “This is a country governed by laws. This is a country with law enforcement agencies. I can assure you that nothing of that sort will happen. Law enforcement agents will be ready and waiting.” The minister also said anyone with grievances should use lawful and constitutional processes. “People have spoken, people are happy, and things have been done constitutionally.
