Lucky Cup Coffee Expanding to Second Location

Lucky Cup Coffee Expanding to Second Location

The locally born brand’s second cafe will open at The Factory in late August

Located inside the Galaxy Hotel, Lucky Cup Coffee Co. is “ your new fav third place .” It opened last August, and now it’s preparing to expand to a second location, this time at The Factory St. Pete. There, Lucky Cup Co. will operate as a cafe and breakfast-and-lunch-place by day and a beer and wine (and wine cocktail) bar by night. “We’re hoping to open up by the end of August for coffee, and then have the night concept launch sometime in the fall,” co-owner Lauren Kirk told What Now on Thursday. “We always had that plan for Lucky Cup, and the space really lends itself to that idea.” Kirk, who owns Lucky Cup Coffee together with April Lupkey, says the duo was asked about bringing their cafe to The Factory. “The Factory had the cafe space already built; they just needed somebody to come in,” said Kirk. “When we were approached, we went to see it, and it just seemed like the right fit. I think the Factory really lends itself to our aesthetic. It’s really homey, chill, artsy.” In more immediate news, Lucky Cup Co. has also recently unveiled its summer drink menu: “These are our love letters to summer,” says an Instagram post revealing three new drinks: the Sugar N Spice Latte, the Blondie Matcha, and the Peachy Lil Things Latte. “Come find your new favorite!” (Kirk also adds that, by popular demand, the autumn-favorite Sweet Potato Pie Latte will be back in the fall!)
