Gavin McAteer could return to action this evening as Finn Harps host Bray Wanderers at Finn Park in the FAI Cup (kick-off 7.45pm), The Milford teenager missed Friday’s 1-0 defeat by Treaty United due to sickness, but Harps will hope that the Republic of Ireland underage international will be available for selection this evening. Kevin McHugh’s side are in need of some positives after the Treaty defeat plunged them to the bottom of the First Division. Bray were rampant last Friday, recording a 6-0 win over UCD - and the Seagulls have lost only once in the nine games since suffering defeat against Harps in Ballybofey at the start of May. “Bray are a top side,” Harps manager Kevin McHugh said. “When you're looking at a home game, to try and get into the next round of the Cup, you're maybe hoping for a junior team to maybe come here. “Bray's going to be a tough game and then we've got Bray very quickly afterwards in the league as well. “They know the qualities that they have, but we want to get into the second round of the Cup. It's a brilliant competition. I think a good cup run can do the squad a world of good.” McHugh confirmed last week that Daniel De Lacerda and Temi Ajibola have been released from the club, following Max Johnston, Perrault Tokam and Idir Zerrouk out the exit door. The Harps boss is seeking some reinforcements. He said: “We just need a wee bit of quality and a wee bit of experience to go in through what we have,”
