Naval Museum Night Returns to Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta's Mexican Naval Museum is inviting residents and visitors to enjoy Museum Night, featuring live music, interactive exhibits, Navy canine demonstrations, a navigation simulator and family-friendly activities on the last Saturday of every month.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The Mexican Naval Museum in Puerto Vallarta is inviting residents and visitors to experience history in a new way during its popular monthly Museum Night, a family-friendly evening filled with live entertainment, interactive exhibits, and hands-on activities. Held on the last Saturday of every month from 5:00 to 9:30 pm, Museum Night transforms the museum into an engaging after-hours destination where guests of all ages can explore Mexico’s rich maritime heritage while enjoying a festive atmosphere. Instead of a traditional museum visit, attendees can participate in interactive stations that showcase the work and traditions of the Mexican Navy. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the Navy’s highly trained canine units, learn about the Marine Corps, practice tying nautical knots, and discover information about the Islas Marías Resort. Children can also take part in a special drawing workshop designed just for young visitors. Inside the museum, guests can explore 16 exhibition rooms that trace the history of Mexico’s naval forces and maritime traditions. Among the highlights is the “Values” Room, which focuses on the principles and identity of the Mexican Navy. The “April 21st” Room honors the historic defense of the Port of Veracruz, while the museum’s popular navigation simulator allows visitors to experience what it’s like to pilot a vessel at sea. Adding to the evening’s atmosphere, each Museum Night features live music performed by a special guest artist, creating an enjoyable setting for families, friends, and tourists to spend an evening together. Admission is affordable, with general entry priced at 60 pesos. Students, teachers, children, and senior citizens receive discounted admission for 45 pesos. For those who cannot attend Museum Night, the Mexican Naval Museum welcomes visitors throughout the week. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and admission is free every Wednesday, offering another opportunity to discover the stories, traditions, and achievements of Mexico’s naval history.
