Pair arrested after Class A drugs found in Walsall police raids

Two men have been arrested after police raided homes in Walsall on Thursday morning. West Midlands Police say two men were arrested and a quantity of drugs were found after warrants were executed in Wave Close and Harpur Road in Walsall on Thursday, July 30. The raids, carried out by the County Lines Taskforce, saw two men, aged 36 and 31, taken into custody on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs. The pair remain in custody. A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said a drone used in the operation filmed as Class A drugs were thrown out of a window at the property, before being recovered by officers. They added: “The arrests were made in connection with an investigation into crack cocaine and heroin being supplied through a drugs line in the Walsall area. “We're currently running Operation Target which sees us take a defiant stand against a range of serious and organised crime offences. “Officers use local intelligence, seize goods, carry out warrants and target offenders as part of Op Target’s ongoing crackdown against serious and organised crime.”
