Sadness at passing of former Letterkenny nun

There is widespread sadness following the passing of Sr Eithne Mac Devitt, who served for a time in Letterkenny. Sr Mac Devitt, a member of the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles, died peacefully at Ardfoyle Convent on Friday, 17 July. Born in Co. Limerick, Sr Eithne also lived and ministered in Cork. She is deeply mourned by her sisters, Sheila and Nuala; her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends; and by all of our Sisters across the globe. Sr Eithne was predeceased by her parents, Agnes and Joseph; her stepmother, Nora; her brothers, Ruairí, Kevin and Brugha; and her sisters, Fidelma and Crona. Her Requiem Mass will be celebrated today, Monday, 20 July, at 2.00 pm in Ardfoyle Convent, Ballintemple, Cork, followed by burial in the Community cemetery.
