Series of closures from M25 junction to village start tonight - 6 mile diversion

A series of overnight closures from the M25 with a 6-mile diversion route begins tonight. A4251 Watford Road will be shut from the motorway roundabout at junction 20 to the roundabout with Home Park Mill Link Road at the edge of Kings Langley from 8pm (July 30). It will then reopen at 6am tomorrow morning and repeat the pattern each night until 6am on Tuesday, August 4. This will allow for surface dressing work, which involves spraying bitumen binder on the road and then spreading stone chippings which are rolled into it to restore the surface. A diversion route has been set which will take motorists coming from the M25 around the A41, Two Waters Way, and then back down the A4251 via Kings Langley High Street. There are also ongoing works under temporary traffic lights at the junction 20 roundabout as traffic light refurbishment takes place. This is set to last until August 28.
