UVA RB and former Salem standout Peyton Lewis holds 2nd annual football camp

Some of college football’s biggest stars are still finding time to give back to their community, and Salem’s own Peyton Lewis is no different. The former Tennessee Volunteer, who recently made his way back to the Commonwealth, transferring to UVA, made his way back home, hosting the 2nd annual Peyton Lewis Football Camp. The camp is designed for boys and girls ages 5–14 of all skill levels to train alongside Lewis, some current and former college football players, and experienced coaches. More than just a football camp, it was an opportunity to make some new friends and learn from one of the best role models possible. “Given the opportunity, me and my family to come here and put on a camp for all the kids, I mean, I just feel like I’ve been blessed,” said Lewis. “Not a lot of people can be put in the same position. To be giving back to the community and these kids, it means a lot for my family and myself. Once I graduated and found myself in an area where I can kind of give back to the community, I figured this is the area where I should give back.” Lewis will begin his first season with the Virginia Cavaliers on August 29th against NC State.
