Vallarta to Host Mexico’s Karaoke Championship Finals

Puerto Vallarta will take center stage this August as the nation’s best singers compete for the Karaoke World Championships (KWC) Mexico title. The two-day event at Coco Cabaret will crown the artist who will represent Mexico at the 2026 KWC World Finals in Las Vegas, while also showcasing the city’s growing reputation as a destination for world-class live entertainment. Founded in Finland in 2003, the Karaoke World Championships has grown into the world’s largest and most prestigious international karaoke competition. Each year, talented vocalists from dozens of countries compete for the chance to perform on a global stage, celebrating music, artistry, and unforgettable live performances. This year’s Mexican National Finals will be held on August 3 and 4 at Coco Cabaret in Puerto Vallarta’s Romantic Zone, where singers from across the country will compete after advancing through local and state qualifying rounds. The winner will earn the honor of representing Mexico at the 2026 KWC World Finals, scheduled for October 25-29 at the Veil Pavilion inside Silverton Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Originally from Vancouver, 20-year-old jazz vocalist Patriz found her first stage in Puerto Vallarta when she made her debut at Incanto’s Open Mic in 2022 at just 16 years old. Since then, she has become one of the area’s standout performers, earning praise for her emotionally rich Amy Winehouse tribute at The Palm Cabaret. Rather than simply imitating the late singer, Patriz is recognized for capturing the spirit and emotion of Winehouse’s music while bringing her own distinctive style to every performance. She has also starred in Evita and appeared in numerous productions at Coco Cabaret. Joining her is Losanna , who gained national recognition as a contestant on La Voz México in 2021. A familiar face on Puerto Vallarta stages, Losanna has performed in Dwight Blake’s MoSoul Concerts at Teatro Vallarta and has entertained audiences throughout Mexico. Her acclaimed tribute performances honoring Jennifer Lopez, Selena Quintanilla, and Christina Aguilera have made her a favorite at venues including The Palm Cabaret and Coco Cabaret.
